My Training

Qualified, registered and committed to thoughtful, ethical practice.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), and have completed advanced diploma-level training in therapeutic and psychotherapeutic counselling.

My training is integrative, with a particular grounding in psychodynamic and person-centred approaches. Alongside formal training, my practice has developed through several years of therapeutic work with adults in charity and community settings.

Training and Qualifications

Registered Member, British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP)

Advanced diploma-level training in Therapeutic and Psychotherapeutic Counselling (CPCAB)

Professional Experience

I have several years' experience providing counselling to adults, working with a wide range of emotional and relational difficulties including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, shame, identity, self-esteem and relationship difficulties.

I have particular experience working therapeutically with LGBTQ+ clients, including through specialist LGBTQ+ services. This informs an affirmative and inclusive approach to sexuality, gender and identity within my wider practice.

My previous experience also includes providing confidential emotional support through an LGBTQ+ helpline.

Ethical and Reflective Practice

As a registered member of the BACP, I work within its Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.

I undertake regular clinical supervision and ongoing continuing professional development (CPD). These are important parts of my practice, giving me space to reflect on my work and continue developing as a therapist.
